RANGE RULES

  • ALL FIREARMS brought to the facility must be unloaded and cased. If not cased, semi-autos must have the slide lock open, revolvers must have the cylinder open. Rifles must have the action open.
     

  • Handgun shooters under 21 years of age and long gun shooters under 18 years of age must have parental approval and be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while on the range. Children under 12 years of age are not allowed on the range without special permission.
     

  • Be sure that your firearm is safe to operate and know how to operate it safely. Always keep your firearm unloaded, your finger off of the trigger and pointed in a safe direction until ready to shoot. Never hand a loaded firearm to another person.
     

  • Use only the correct ammunition for your firearm. If you have any questions, please consult a Range Officer.
     

  • No inexperienced shooters are allowed on any of the ranges without prior instruction, coaching, and approval of the Range Officer.
     

  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the property.
     

  • Individuals displaying the effects of, or thought to be under the influence of, drugs or alcohol will be prohibited from using the range.
     

  • Children must not be left unattended.
     

  • Food and beverages are prohibited on the indoor range.

  • Range officers are authorized to remove any shooter whose behavior is detrimental to the safe operations of any of the ranges. Commands issued by any Range Officer must be followed immediately.
     

  • If unsafe behavior is noticed, then please make sure that the Range Officer is notified of such action immediately.
     

  • Please read and understand the Range Rules and Regulations before you proceed to the range. Please ask any of the Range Officers for clarification if you have any questions.
     

  • No pregnant women are allowed on the range, for health reasons.
     

  • Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while on the range.
     

  • Only a maximum of two people are allowed per shooting position.
     

  • Steel, armor piercing, tracer and military surplus ammunition are prohibited. Steel jacketed ammo is also not allowed (including Wolf and Tulammo). Ammunition will be inspected and tested by the Range Officers. Repeated violation of this rule will result in permanent barring from the range.
     

  • Only regulation paper targets are allowed to be used on the range. The Range Officers reserve the right to prohibit targets that are deemed to be offensive or unsafe. Use the appropriately sized target that is placed at eye level to ensure that the bullets will enter the bullet trap. Rifle shooters must use a large silhouette targets.
     

  • Uncased firearms must be kept at the firing line, at all times. Case and uncase them at the line only.
     

  • Only load your firearm when you are on the firing line, keeping the muzzle pointed downrange at all times. Keep actions open when not shooting.
     

  • If you have a malfunction or a jam that you cannot clear, lay the firearm on the bench while keeping the muzzle pointed downrange, and ask the Range Officer for assistance. Never remove a jammed or malfunctioning firearm from the range without prior approval from the Range Officer.
     

  • Never extend any part of your body forward of the firing line for any reason.
     

  • Shotguns and muzzleloaders are not allowed on the range.
     

  • Holster drawing allowed only with approval from range officer.  Only strong side draw, no cross drawing, no middle of the back holster drawing or ankle holster drawing.
     

  • Firearms are to be discharged only in a range lane. This is strictly enforced.
     

  • Rapid fire is not allowed without prior approval from range officer. If we see you are causing damage to the range you will be asked to stop. Otherwise, please allow at least one second between shots.
     

  • Rental firearms must be returned empty with the slide locked open for semi-autos or cylinder swung open for revolvers.
     

  • DO NOT throw ammunition or spent shells into the trash containers. Please discard them in the appropriate marked containers.
     

  • When you have completed shooting, unload and case your firearms, and clean up after yourself. Brush brass and shells into the appropriate containers. DO NOT under any circumstances cross the firing line to pickup casings, etc. Notify range personnel if there is something that must be retrieved.
     

  • Shooters are liable for damage to their lane while shooting including damage to target holders, etc.

 

SHOOTING RANGE FUNDAMENTALS

 

1. Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.

2. Keep your finger OFF the trigger, except when shooting.

3. Keep the Action OPEN and the Firearm Unloaded, except when shooting.

4. Know YOUR firearm and ammunition.
5. Carry ONLY one caliber (gauge) of ammunition at a time.

6. Be Sure of your TARGET and what's beyond.

7. Know where OTHER ARE at all times.

8. Wear EAR & EYE Protection at all times.

9. KNOW & OBEY ALL Range Commands at all times.

10. DO NOT mix alcohol or drugs while shooting.
